Another top 10 at the Italian Open

After 9 tournaments played this season Sebastian reached his 3rd top ten result.

That is of course a great first half of the season and he’s holding a 12th place on the Race to Dubai ranking at the moment.

Next tournament will be the KLM Open, in the Netherlands. His last visit in the Netherlands, in 2022, resulted in a 5th place at the Dutch Open.

T9 in South Africa

After a few missed cuts, Sebastian bounced back in the Jonsson Workwear Open, in Steyn City, Johannesburg. It seems to be a course Sebastian likes. Finishing T9 this year was also a small improvement from last years T10.

After almost 3 months on the road Sebastian is home in Sweden for a three weeks brake before heading for two new venues on DP World Tour, Japan and South Korea. DP World Tour really lives up to the name.

Black Mountain and the Asian Tour

Like last year, Black Mountain GC, at Hua Hin, Thailand, is hosting one of the Tournaments on the Asian Tour. As Black Mountain is Sebastian’s home, away from home, he likes to participate on his home course.

Success in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship was a great success for Sebastian. Pushing the game until 18th green, with a chance to reach a play off, he finished T2. As this was a ROLEX Series Tournament, he earned lot of valuable DP World Tour points, which took him to a third place on the DPWT ranking. This was also Sebastian’s first tournament in 2023 so there’s only one thing to say: “What a great start”

Finally! First tournament of the season 2023. Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which also is the first tournament of the 2023 Rolex Series.

2022 resumé

Sebastian ended the 2022 season on DP World Tour by qualifying into and participating in the DP World Tour Championship, in Dubai. His final ranking was 42, which also is personal best.

Closest to a win he came at The Betfred British Masters where he finished 2nd.

Sebastian’s first appearance at the DP World Tour Championship, played at Jumeirah Golf Estate in Dubai

The competition included some of the best players in the world, like the World nr 1 and Tour winner Rory Mcillroy, the former World nr 5  and winner of the Championship Jon Rahm, Victor Hovland, Matt Fitzpatrick and many more.

Tied 5th in South Africa and qualified for the Tour Championship

A strong performance on the 4th round payed off for Sebastian. Climbing up both the leaderboard and the ranking all day he finished T5 for the tournament and 41 on the ranking. As top 50 on the ranking will play in the Tour Championship in Dubai this week, Sebastian will now participate in the season final for the first time.

Wentworth – classic golf ground

BMW PGA Championship at the Wenthworth Club is totally Sold Out this weekend. It’s also the fourth Rolex tournament of the season which means that the field is packed with 44 out of the 50 highest ranked players on the DP World Tour. In addition you’ll also find players that are qualified because they are ranked top 60 in the world.

A successful weekend would mean a lot for any player aiming to be top 50 on the DP World Tour ranking. Sebastian is one them. It will be an exciting weekend with world class golf.
