Another top 10 at the Italian Open

After 9 tournaments played this season Sebastian reached his 3rd top ten result.
That is of course a great first half of the season and he’s holding a 12th place on the Race to Dubai ranking at the moment.
Next tournament will be the KLM Open, in the Netherlands. His last visit in the Netherlands, in 2022, resulted in a 5th place at the Dutch Open.

T9 in South Africa

After a few missed cuts, Sebastian bounced back in the Jonsson Workwear Open, in Steyn City, Johannesburg. It seems to be a course Sebastian likes. Finishing T9 this year was also a small improvement from last years T10.
After almost 3 months on the road Sebastian is home in Sweden for a three weeks brake before heading for two new venues on DP World Tour, Japan and South Korea. DP World Tour really lives up to the name.

Black Mountain and the Asian Tour

Like last year, Black Mountain GC, at Hua Hin, Thailand, is hosting one of the Tournaments on the Asian Tour. As Black Mountain is Sebastian’s home, away from home, he likes to participate on his home course.

Success in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship was a great success for Sebastian. Pushing the game until 18th green, with a chance to reach a play off, he finished T2. As this was a ROLEX Series Tournament, he earned lot of valuable DP World Tour points, which took him to a third place on the DPWT ranking. This was also Sebastian’s first tournament in 2023 so there’s only one thing to say: “What a great start”

Finally! First tournament of the season 2023. Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which also is the first tournament of the 2023 Rolex Series.

2022 resumé

Sebastian ended the 2022 season on DP World Tour by qualifying into and participating in the DP World Tour Championship, in Dubai. His final ranking was 42, which also is personal best.
Closest to a win he came at The Betfred British Masters where he finished 2nd.

Sebastian’s first appearance at the DP World Tour Championship, played at Jumeirah Golf Estate in Dubai
The competition included some of the best players in the world, like the World nr 1 and Tour winner Rory Mcillroy, the former World nr 5 and winner of the Championship Jon Rahm, Victor Hovland, Matt Fitzpatrick and many more.

Tied 5th in South Africa and qualified for the Tour Championship

A strong performance on the 4th round payed off for Sebastian. Climbing up both the leaderboard and the ranking all day he finished T5 for the tournament and 41 on the ranking. As top 50 on the ranking will play in the Tour Championship in Dubai this week, Sebastian will now participate in the season final for the first time.

Wentworth – classic golf ground

BMW PGA Championship at the Wenthworth Club is totally Sold Out this weekend. It’s also the fourth Rolex tournament of the season which means that the field is packed with 44 out of the 50 highest ranked players on the DP World Tour. In addition you’ll also find players that are qualified because they are ranked top 60 in the world.
A successful weekend would mean a lot for any player aiming to be top 50 on the DP World Tour ranking. Sebastian is one them. It will be an exciting weekend with world class golf.

Irish Open at Mount Juliet

The Irish Open 2022 was held at the great course of Mount Juliet. Sebastian’s performance was very promising and included the lowest score in the field on the Friday. (-6)

2nd at Betfred British Masters

Starting round 4, 6 behind Olesen, most of us might have given up all hopes for a fight for the win. Sebastian not. After an excellent back 9 he spent more than an hour as leader in the clubhouse, watching all competitors coming in behind him. All except one! With two incredible puts, on 17 and 18, Olesen managed to pass Sebastian, leaving him in the 2nd place.
Sebastian was, of course, very satisfied with his 2nd place and his best performance this year.

International Series on Asian Tour at Black Mountain Golf Club

The Black Mountain Golf Club, outside the City of Hua Hin, in Thailand, has been Sebastian’s 2nd home Club for some years now. This week he is finally getting to play a big tournament on one of his home courses – the first International Series tournament, part of the Asian Tour.

For the 2nd week in a row Sebastian finished T2, demonstrating superb form in Mallorca. After hitting the drive on 16th into the water, he hit a blind shot into the green, saving the par with a spectacular 15 meters put.

Classic golf ground

The defending Champion is back in Crans Montana!

We’ve been waiting for two years and now Sebastian is back in the Swiss Alps to defend his spectacular win from 2019. After a long summer brake he had a good tournament in Prague last week. Now he’s back in a place with lots of good memories. Hopefully this week can create lots of new fantastic memories.

Back on home turf

Last time Sebastian played in Sweden was two years ago. It was the Scandinavian Invitaion, held at Hills Sports and Golf Club, here in Gothenburg. He finished 5th, supported by family, friends and other fans.

Fastest round on the European Tour, ever, at Omega Dubai Desert Classic: 96 minutes
Tested Covid-19 positive in March
Spent 10 days in quarantain in September, in a hotel room in Belfast, because someone seated next to Sebastian on the flight to Ireland, tested Covid-19 positive on arrival. Sebastian himself tested negative. Missed out from two tournaments because of the quarantine.

Another Top 10

A triple bogey on the 16:th hole on Saturday, could have spoiled the chances for a new Top 10 result but Sebastian wanted revenge and came out super sharp on Sunday.

-5 after 6 was a fantastic opening. Sebastian stayed bogey-free and he also got his revenge on the 16:th hole with a birdie. A closing birdie on the 18:th resulted in another Top 10 (T9). -
Back in business at Wentworth

After many long days, alone in a hotel room in Belfast, Sebastian now has arrived to London and Wentworth, very motivated to get his swing going and putter hot in the prestigious Rolex series tournament BMW PGA Championships 2020, at Wentworth Golf Club, outside London.

Top-10 at Celtic Classic

On his first appearance on the UK Swing Sebastian played an excellent golf for three days, and there was hope and possibilities for a really good score on the Sunday. Unfortunately margins were not on his side and Sebastian finished 10th.
