In Sebastian’s first appearance at The Open he nicely made the cut by two great birdies on 16 and 17 at the end of the second round. It wasn’t like that on the weekend, that the birdies fell in, but despite that the game felt good.

Team Söderberg has finished all preparations. Swing coach Magnusson seemed to be satisfied after the last practice day. The one thing that they can’t control is the weather. Today was fantastic with sunshine and no wind but the forecast is showing rain for the days to come.

Sebastian will play with the former Open champion (2016) Henrik Stensson so we also look forward to “who will be the best Swede in the ball”

Genesis Scottish Open was a very good rehearsal for The Open, coming up later this week. The almost unScottish weather, with Sunshine and only little wind, created a good atmosphere for the big crowd.

Great to be back in Scotland again and Genesis Scottish Open.
This is a high ranked tournament containing a world Class field where most of the players also will be playing The Open at Royal Portrush (Northern Ireland) next week so the competition is the best there is.
Sebastian is ready to face the challenge, both for The Scottish Open and The Open and it is very exciting to be onsite and follow Sebastian and Jesper these coming weeks. Hopefully we can come back with some good stories and lot of photos.

It’s been a frustrating two months for Sebastian, after an injury, not getting the consistancy that helps building momentum. He was little angry on himself on Thursday (+3), much better on Friday (-5) and then a super Saturday (-8), moving up to T5.

The Final Qualifying for US Open was played at Walton Heath, UK, last Monday. Sebastian, who only played 4 tournaments since January, didn’t succeeded qualifying, still achieved something extra ordinary.

On the 16th hole, on the old course, Sebastian holed the second shot on the par 5, 535 yards/489 meter for an Albatross. They don’t come often and this was Sebastian’s first one.

Hopefully the Albatross  gave him some good energy for this weeks competition in the Soudal Open in Belgium.

Last week, at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, Sebastian had a super weekend. Thursday and Friday -1, Saturday and Sunday -11.
Hopefully he can bring some of that good feeling into this week at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship.
